IgG food antibodies are implicated in the release of inflammatory mediators as part of the complement response by the immune system to undigested food peptides crossing the gut wall barrier. This adverse immune response can lead to presentation of symptoms associated with food sensitivity. Test for hs-CRP alongside FoodPrint 200+ using the same blood sample.
What is CRP?
C-reactive protein (CRP) is an acute inflammatory protein produced by the liver in response to inflammation. It is considered a non-specific “marker” for disease and infection. Inflammatory markers are known as acute phase reactants, others include erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and ferritin. They can be used separately or together to monitor a person’s health.
